Mookesh Patel, Treasurer
Mookesh Patel received his MFA in graphic design from Rhode Island School of Design. He holds a diploma in Visual Communication from the National Institute of Design, and a BS from Ahmedabad Science College, Gujarat University, India.
He is a practicing information/experience designer (Principal Partner at InfoDesign Management Inc., Scottsdale) and visiting faculty member at Rhode Island School of Design. In addition to AIGA, he is a member of ICOGRADA and IIID. He chairs the Department of Visual Communication Design at ASU. His widely published works includesASU from the Air (2000) coauthored with David Scheatzle and Emily Kimling.
Mookesh’s clients include Phoenix Art Museum, Metropolitan Boston Transit Authority through Malcolm Grear Designers, and Government of India for a major traveling exhibition: My Land, My People. He is the recipient of a Fulbright Research Scholar Grant, United Nations Development Program Grant, AIGA, and other awards. Professor Patel’s research focuses on the visual communication and information design issues, semiotics, visual interpretation, visualization, exhibition experience design, and typography.
