Maggy Cuesta, Education Director

M. Teresa Valero, a native of Venezuela, is a board member of AIGA XCD and co-chair of the education committee. She received her BFA and MA from University of Kansas. As an Applied Associate Professor of Art, Graphic Design at The University of Tulsa she is former Director of the School of Art and co-founder and Creative Director of Third Floor Designs, a student-run design studio. Ms. Valero has received numerous teaching and professional awards for her photography and graphic design work; a few among them are the Tulsa Addy Awards, Graphex, and Creativity Today, and have been exhibited both nationally and internationally. She has also received teaching and academic awards such as: Outstanding Teaching Award by The University of Tulsa, and the Henry Kendall College of Arts and Sciences at TU, the Pinnacle Award for the Arts and Humanities, along with the Mayor’s Commission on the Status of Women.
